Spirit Call source (new tab)Spirit Call is an original top-down action game built around short, roughly four-minute fights. Choose three spirits, read enemy attack telegraphs, dodge and switch characters to combine their elements. Fire, water, wind, thunder and rock each leave a state on enemies; another element bursts that state into an area effect. Ten spirits mix attackers, healers and guardians with different weapons and skill kits.
Launch the author-hosted version. Turn a phone sideways for the touch layout, or use a keyboard and mouse. The opening chapter teaches dodging and combos before switching is introduced.
Quests show their enemies and rewards before entry. Watch the marked attack areas, dodge out of danger and practice linking basic attacks with skills instead of staying inside a crowd’s windup.
As team slots unlock, apply one element and hit with a different one to burst its state. Three spirits come through the main quest line; the other seven are earned in character-specific auditions. Build a team whose damage, healing and protection suit the encounter.
These inputs describe the linked project or original game. Follow the platform-specific notes and the primary documentation before starting.
| ACTION | INPUT | NOTES |
|---|---|---|
| Move | W A S D / Arrow keys | Screen-relative movement; letter bindings use physical key positions. |
| Aim / attack | Mouse / Left click | Aim with the cursor and attack with the primary mouse button. |
| Dodge / dash | Double-tap a movement key | Quickly press the same direction twice; dash follows movement. |
| Special / ultimate | Space / Shift | Skills use their respective slots; aimed skills target the cursor. |
| Switch spirit / menu | 1 · 2 · 3 / Esc | Number keys select team slots once available; Esc opens the menu. |
| Touch controls | Left stick · right action buttons · team portraits | Use landscape mode. Drag aimed skills to aim and release to cast; tap a portrait to switch spirits. |
The TypeScript simulation uses Ritmo, a deterministic, headless ECS. Three.js renders the low-poly world while Preact handles menus. The author uses headless bots to evaluate encounters; that is not a browser performance guarantee.
The author describes Effect-backed local saves with no login. Treat each browser profile and device as a separate place to play; do not assume cloud sync or that clearing site storage will preserve progress.
The project also builds Android and iOS apps through Capacitor, with offline native play described upstream. This directory links the browser edition and does not claim that browser offline support or app-store distribution has been verified.

Creator README links the hosted browser edition and documents ten spirits, five elements, keyboard / touch controls and device-local saves. An original TypeScript / Ritmo / Three.js game, not a commercial-game port. The site owner confirmed browser playability; confirmation recorded on 2026-10-20. This is manual gameplay confirmation, not an automated HTTP observation or an agent-run play session.

Rotate to landscape and disable the device’s orientation lock if necessary. The hosted page explicitly asks touch-device players to turn the phone sideways.
Use a current browser with hardware-accelerated 3D available, reload and check failed network requests. Include the device, browser version and any visible error when reporting a problem upstream; device compatibility has not been independently benchmarked here.
Saves are local rather than account-based. Return to the original browser profile and device. Avoid clearing the game’s site storage or relying on a private-browsing session for long-term progress.
No. Spirit Call is an original game, not an engine port or fan demake. The creator publishes a free browser edition and its source repository.
The author states there is nothing to buy and no random unlock system. Characters are earned through the main quest line and auditions, with the audition order chosen by the player.
No login or personal game-data upload is documented for the hosted browser version. Saves stay on the device rather than being attached to an online account.
Yes. The site owner confirmed that the browser version is playable, and the entry is marked playable on that basis. The confirmation was recorded on 20 October 2026. It is not an agent-run play session, a full compatibility audit or an automated HTTP observation.
